Further Information

August 3, 2010

After 8 weeks of waiting to hear from the council regarding our planning permission, we finally got a letter, however, it requested further information on our application.

“Further information” is a general term used by the local authority and the information can vary quite a lot but in our case, they wanted clarification of the road clearance at either side of our entrance (visibility), a landscaping plan and basically a complete redesign of the house. We were given 6 months to submit the requested information and the local authority have 4 weeks from the time this information is received to respond.

So we got to work yet again!

RFI’s – the bane of any builder’s life (can’t you guess I used to work in Construction!). That’s a teeny list in the scale of things – believe it or not! Happy redrafting…
